Yesterday we had prvilege and honour to be at Chopin Airport to welcome captain Tomasz Cichocki personally on Polish soil. It has been a year since he sail off Polish shore in Sopot, and now he's back, with his dream fulfilled. We wasn't the only ones who arrived at the arrivals terminal. There were fans, media representatives, and of course - family. Below you can see the gallery from the event.

After 312 days of lone sail around the world captain Tomasz Cichocki safely returned to the Brest marina. Word cannot describe how happy we are, and how happy captain is. But the most important thing is that he fulfilled his life dream. To sail around the world.

Now, after this long journey captain has many stories, which we will post here on kapitancichocki.pl so stay tuned.

After 3 day await we can finally be sure that today captain Tomasz Cichocki will return safely from his lone cruise around the world. First news and calculations indicated that this might happen as early as friday, but the weather wasn't so kind. Light winds, and calm sea wasn't much help and his arrival was postponed a bit. But now we can say, being 100% sure, that today Tomek will arrive at port Brest. Just a few moments ago his wife Ewa, project manager Krzysztof Mikunda and Wojciech Kot of Delphia Yachts met with Tomek 25 miles from the shore of Brest.

The organizers of Lone Cruise Around the World just arrived at Brest Marina. They've joined mr. Wojciech Kot co-owner of Delphia Yachts, the shipyard that built the "Polska Miedź" yacht. Mr. Kot with huge help of French Maritime Rescue station located in Brest have established that cpt. Cichocki is only 100 miles away from the shore, which means he should come back tomorrow evening.

After 42 days of silence we've been finally able to locate the "Polska Miedz" vessel. Thanks to our fan and supporter Zbigniew Świacki, who alerted us that site marinetraffic.com published data from AIS receivers from Azores we are now calmer then ever. It turns out that captain is only 10 to 14 days from Brest, France, and soon enough his lone cruise around the world will be over. We won't hear anything from captain until then as his satellite phone still seems to be not functioning properly but at least we know that the vessel condition is good enough to sail safely. What a great news!
